Growing native forests workshop – Feilding

Join us for a workshop to inspire and guide landowners, community members, and enthusiasts to grow native forests.

Native forests support biodiversity, improve water quality, and help fight climate change by sequestering carbon. Come along and be inspired to grow native forests. This workshop gives you the essentials for success.

  • Connecting corridors for wildlife (Zoe Stone, ecologist with Horizons Regional Council)
  • Taonga species for the region (Zoe Stone, ecologist with Horizons Regional Council)
  • Improving success of native plantings (Phill Tetzlaff, Te Uru Rākau – New Zealand Forest Service)
  • Transitioning willows and other exotics to natives
